In addition to being a book editor, I’m the founder and editor-in-chief of a small literary magazine called Cypress Review. Cypress is affectionately named after Cypress Street in Philly. We welcome writers of Philadelphia and beyond.
We publish lyrical, contemplative, and contemporary works. While poetry is our focus, we enjoy anything strange, surreal, and/or experimental (magical realism, speculative fiction, flash fiction, etc.). But we’re open to anything with heart.
In 2024, we released our first issue, followed by Issue II in March 2025. I couldn’t have done it without a great team; please take a look at our masthead to see who’s on board.
Our first issue focused on poetry, while our second issue featured poetry, fiction, and visual art; both include deeply moving, imaginative works. Issue III is now open for submissions of poetry, fiction, and visual art as well.
